What you do speaks so loudly that what you say cannot be heard.
Yup. Introvert here. Quiet introvert. Ha ha ha. I might not talk much, but for some reason lot’s of people like me! Maybe it’s because I’m a good listener – and you can usually tell that I am listening. Maybe it’s because I go out of my way to do things, usually without complaint. Whatever it is, I know for a fact that this saying is true.
Sure, there are definitely times where you need to speak up, especially if it’s for something that you believe in. Listen to those hints that God gives you and do your best to respond to them even if it’s out of your comfort zone. But if you ‘talk all the talk’ but don’t ‘walk the walk’ then what you say will mean nothing. That’s where you let your actions speak for you. People are watching you (as creepy as that may sound). You need to be a good example for your friends, siblings, kids, and the strangers you pass by. That is a big responsibility, I know. But if you think instead of how it makes people more interested in you, it becomes a little less heavy of a load. Why does she/he act like that? Why are they so kind? That opens up the opportunity to share Jesus with them! And believe me, it sure does feel good when that happens, especially when that person is eager to learn why you do what you do.
I challenge you today to take a look at how you act, what you do, how you respond. Any changes need to be made? If so, ask someone to help you. Pray and ask God to help you. Because your actions speak louder than your words (1 John 3:18).
Bye for now, have a wonderful day!
