With His Strength
Have you ever written something that your future self found and even though you hadn’t written it for yourself, you realized it was exactly what you needed to hear? That was this post for me ☺
Philippians 4:13 says: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
I say this verse to myself when I feel weak or when I feel like something is too hard for me to do, but I have to do it. Saying that verse to myself and praying to Him gives me new strength and determination!
Of course, I have to believe it too and not just say it.
How do I do that? By refocusing and redirecting myself to put my faith in God and trusting Him with everything! From my needs to my wants, my hopes and dreams, to my worries and sorrows. Hebrews 11:1 says: “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Trusting God to follow through with what He says He will do. Trusting Him to keep His promises and knowing He will always be there right beside me and is always ready to hear my prayers.
You may have heard the saying that ‘God doesn’t give us anything we can’t handle’. Well, that’s not necessarily true. He will allow us to go through things that we can’t handle by ourselves. But He will be there with us and He will help us through that moment, as long as we put our trust in Him and obey what He tells us to do.
He gives us free will, the option to choose which route to go, because He loves us and wants us to love Him – instead of forcing us to love Him. Isn’t that amazing? He goes through so much because of us, yet He still loves us and wants us to choose Him. And that takes effort. When your heart is pulling you in one direction, but deep inside you you know that you need to go a different direction… Pray, ask Him what He wants you to do. Ask Him to speak through you when you aren’t sure what to say. Trust Him to take care of it – even if you are stressed in the moment. Take a deep breath and let Him do what He does.
I hope this post encourages you to let go and let God do what He does: use you for His glory and His great plan.
Bye for now, have a wonderful day!
